Nationals senate leader BARNABY JOYCE says new Liberal leader TONY ABBOTT has great
capabilities and experience to lead.
Senator JOYCE says Mr ABBOTT .. a fellow opponent of the government's ETS legislation
.. the coalition should keep itself together .. and give people a clear alternative to
what he called KEVIN RUDD'S massive new tax.
Mr ABBOTT today defeated MALCOLM TURNBULL 42-41 in a Liberal party room ballot for
the leadership.
