FED: Cricket s greatest hero dies peacefully

ADELAIDE, Feb 26 AAP - Lionised as a legend in his own lifetime, Sir Donald Bradman
was cricket's batting god and Australia's most famous person.

Sir Donald, 92, died peacefully in his sleep in Adelaide yesterday morning after suffering
pneumonia.

Born at Cootamundra in southern New South Wales on August 27, 1908, Donald George Bradman,
the fifth child of George and Emily Bradman, scaled heights enough for those across the
nation to whisper his name in reverent terms, even five decades after he last graced a
sporting field.
