NSW: Siege at Sydney store
SYDNEY, Dec 29 AAP - Police were called early this morning to what is believed to be
a siege at a major Sydney store.
Police said they received a call to the Grace Bros at Bondi Junction, in Sydney's eastern
suburbs, shortly after 6.30am (AEDT).
Police said "the incident" was thought to be a siege, but that was unconfirmed at this
stage and no further details were available.
Channel Seven's Sunrise program said four or five men, possibly armed, entered the
Grace Bros building.
The program said there could be four or five people taken hostage.
It said a cleaner had been slightly injured with bruises and scratches to the eyes
and face and had been taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital.
