NSW: Three arrested over alleged $60 million music piracy
Three students have been charged with copyright offences over an alleged $60 millionmusic piracy operation.
Australian Federal Police officers yesterday raided four homes in Sydney's west andsouth-west arresting three men in connection with one of Australia's largest copyrightinfringement cases.
The trio allegedly were connected with an internet website located in Australia andknown as MP3 WMA land, which was used to exchange MP3 files and other digital files acrossthe world.
The AFP says two Australian students, aged 19 and 20, and a 20-year-old Malaysian studenthave been charged with breaching copyright.
All three were granted bail and ordered to face Downing Centre Local Court on May 13 and 14.
